Description

UTV reporter Maurice Smyth rides on horseback along country roads in the vicinity of Carnlough to conduct an interview with Jim Slevin of Donaghmore. Jim had been completing a circuit of Ireland by horseback to raise money under the banner of Freedom from Hunger. He reckoned he had travelled some 800 miles and had raised around £900. That’s around £15,000 adjusted for inflation to the year 2025. At this stage, Jim and his horse – Warpaint – still had around 150 further miles to travel.
