On a long car journey towards the Mexican border [to help to forget a broken romance] Evette Garland parks her car close to a tumbledown little town. Here begins nightmare of weird experiences as she traverses the no-man’s land between this world and an alternate existence. Under hypnosis, she reveals her forgotten nightmares to a helpful doctor who dismisses her fancies as tricks of the imagination. But has the doctor, like the town, another face?
