Description

The arrival of television and the increasing hours of transmitted programmes in our homes had a startling effect on the cinema and its box office, until it was inevitable that many independent cinemas would close down.

Counterpoint looks back at the many (now closed) cinemas that Northern Ireland used to have, as well as interview those still in the business.
