Description

In a remarkable interview, Leslie Dawes meets Dr Abernethy from Derry. Dr Abernethy was a Resident Doctor in the Royal Victoria Hospital during the flu pandemic of 1918. He had the flu himself and recalls those terrible times and how the flu recurred for three or four years after.
