This short film captures an African Drumming class that the women of SPUDS partook in at Drumcree Community Centre. The drum circle is among the oldest ways that humans connect through music. The social and communal activity helps bonding and is used in countless cultural celebrations, rites of passage and traditional music. In this video, we see the SPUDS members practicing on djembe, the large West African floor drum.
