Gay rights campaigner PA Maglochainn is at Queen's
University Belfast, campaigning for the lowering of the age of consent from 18
to 16. He argues that the current rules are alienating young gay people and
this is having disastrous effects. This report features interviews with
Maglochlainn and two clergymen. One is totally against Maglochlainn; the other
believes in the right for each individuals' wellbeing and happiness and
supports Maglochlainn.
There are also vox
pops with students, who are largely sympathetic, and other members of the
public who are primarily opposed. This fascinating report captures changing
attitudes.
