Governor of Northern Ireland, John Erskine, meets the new General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Desmond Fitzpatrick at Hillsborough Castle. 

Notes

General Sir Geoffrey Richard Desmond Fitzpatrick, GCB, GCVO, DSO, MBE, MC (14 December 1912 – 12 October 2002) was a senior British Army officer, appointed to General Office Commanding-in-Chief in Northern Ireland in 1965. He left Northern Ireland on 9 July 1966. 

John Maxwell Erskine, 1st Baron Erskine of Rerrick, GBE, KStJ, JP, DL, FRSE (14 December 1893 – 14 December 1980) was a Scottish banker. He acted as Governor of Northern Ireland from 1964 to 1968
