Frank Martin presents this documentary centred around Springfield Park before and during the troubles. Past residents share their fond memories and recall the horror of 9th August 1971.

Unlike many parts of Belfast, Springfield Park at the beginning was a mixed development with people moving from predominant the Falls or Shankill Road and as the viewers are told at the beginning "for the original residents it was one community".

The first part of the programme sets up the neighbourly dynamic and friendly relationships between those who lived there, this is consistent throughout. However, part two, is the beginning of the troubles, with army beginning to be a common occurrence on the street and the rapid erection of two new estates on either side of Springfield Park.

Part three and four gives detail to the riot that occurred after internment was announced and how the residents were affected.
