Description

A delegation of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions turns up at Stormont for a meeting with Prime Minister Terence O’Neill and other members of the Northern Irish government. It seems likely that this meeting was in response to the budget statement two days earlier by the British Chancellor, Barbara Castle. In it she had said that there would be anti-strike laws introduced soon and the Northern Irish government had already indicated that they would soon after introduce parity laws locally.
