Description

This UTV programme on Irish tradition and song was presented by local folk singer Tommy Sands of the famous Sands Family. Beautifully filmed entirely on location, it mixes traditional tales with performances by some of the giants of the Irish folk world, as well as interviews about the songs. Alongside Tommy, the McPeake Family, the Clancy Brothers and the Fureys all demonstrate their mastery of the art – and it seems that a jar or two was never too far away while filming took place.
