Description

Keith Burnside opens this edition of Police Six with and appeal about a robbery in Newry. Robbery went wrong when the victim resisted and after a short struggle the thief got away with worthless lump of paper instead of lump of cash he was after.

Police have come across some unusual getaway vehicles in their time, but nothing tops this one – a wheelie bin. That is what thieves used to carry off £6000 worth of computer gear from the Department of Psychology, Malone Road, Belfast. Police appeals for any information about the incident and the missing equipment. They also seek help locating stolen heavy-duty drills, lawnmowers and various music instruments and equipment belonging to the two-piece band Snap.
