Jayne Coyle interview's actors Patrick Roma and Stella McCusker at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast.
Stella discusses her upcoming performance as Blanche Dubois in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and the challenges that the role presents. However, she states, these were challenges which she was eager to take on, "I was ready for this, I needed a stretcher". When asked about her relationship with the male actors within the company she responds that, "both guys are really terrific".
Next we meet Patrick Roma, who is playing Mitch in what is his first professional visit to Ireland. Here, he discusses his inspiration and process, whilst considering the sometimes profound effects that playing a certain character can have on an actor.
