Geoff Goldsbrough looks back at footage of his parents' wedding and of their reception at Belfast Castle in 1939. This is followed by scenes of his parents at his own wedding in the 1960s. This clip appeared in Series 1, Programme 1 of Super 8 Stories.

Geoff Goldsbrough was an agent for electrical equipment at the time of his marriage to Betty Wright. The event was captured on 16mm film when he decided to hire a cameraman to record the guests arriving at June McCracken Memorial Church on the Malone Road and afterwards at the reception at Belfast Castle. The family began to shoot their own 16mm film afterwards his son, also named Geoff, remembers them “being shown on the wall at home”. To Geoff they remain important for “the pleasure of seeing the family when they were young and seeing my mother and father when they were alive”.
