Description

Jim Baker became one of the many world champions from Northern Ireland in the 1980s when he landed the World Indoor Bowling title in 1984. This report for Good Evening Ulster by Lesley Dawes highlights the new bowling complex which has been built and named in his honour at Templepatrick, with an early peek behind the scenes and a demonstration ahead of its official opening.

Baker speaks to Lesley. while several other players using the complex express their hopes that it will raise the standard of both the men's and women's games in the country. They also discuss how the popularity of the indoor variant of the game has changed the nature of the sport through televised events.
