Description

A Good Evening Ulster report on the build-up to the 1986 World Indoor Bowls Championship. This was a sport in which Northern Ireland was particularly strong during the mid-1980s, with Jim Baker having won the 1984 title. Baker, David Hamilton and Rodney McCutcheon were the trio of players about to set off for the tournament and all three are interviewed here about their prospects by UTV. Also interviewed is Stanley McIlroy, who was about to become the first Irish umpire at the tournament.
