Description

This clip is listed as ‘The Charladies Procession” with Miss Bex Bessell (definitely not her real name) at the lead. It seems that after a certain age, women were really only defined by which domestic chore they were best at. The parade takes off from the Great Northern Railway station in Great Victoria Street with Dickie Rock there to greet the ladies. Jimmy Greene accompanies the pageant queen to the sounds of a show band.

An Ulster Television Production.
