It also explores the far-reaching consequences of their migration, particularly the transfer of theological and political principles that laid a foundation for the United States.

The programme touches on pivotal historical events such as the Williamite Wars and the overthrow of James II, connecting these to uprisings in New England and the reestablishment of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
