Description

William Rutherford previews the Irish Professional Golf Championship. Some contention over the choice of ball size. William interviews Philomena GarveyJimmy Martin and Hugh JacksonThe overall winner was Ernie Jones. 

Notes

Philomena Garvey was an Irish amateur and professional golfer of considerable success. On the 27 June 1957, she won the British Ladies Amateur at Gleneagles and was finalist on four other occasions. She was also a member of the GB and Ireland Curtis Team. 

James Martin was an Irish professional golfer who enjoyed three victories on the British circuit in the 1960s, including the Piccadilly Medal in 1964 and the Carroll's International in 1968. 

Hugh Jackson was an Irish professional golfer. He won the Piccadilly Fourball Match Play in 1968 and the Irish PGA Championship in 1970, the same year that he finished eighth in the Open Championship.
