Description

Maurice Milles leads the Ulster Orchestra at one of its first concerts in Wellington Hall, Belfast.

The Ulster Orchestra was created as a full-time professional orchestra in 1966 and Maurice Miles was its first Maestro. Prior to this, he was conductor of the City of Belfast Orchestra in 1955-1956, and conductor of the Belfast Philharmonic Society from 1955 to 1967.
