Description

A report for Good Evening Ulster as Tom King, secretary of state for Northern Ireland, speaks to a dinner of assembled guests to try and allay Unionist fears of talks between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. King points out that talks between officials and representatives of the two countries already happen regularly each year and that any new proposals would only be extending what had already been deemed acceptable. He also points out the importance of the current talks in the hope of pursuing a more peaceful Northern Ireland.
