Description

The new Ulster rugby internationals gather ahead of travelling to play France in the Five Nations (it would be a draw 3-3) in Dublin. We see Willie John McBride, Mike Gibson, Ken Kennedy, Roger Young, and Ronnie Lamont.

William James McBride, CBE, better known as Willie John McBride (born 6 June 1940) is a former rugby union footballer who played as a lock for Ireland and the British and Irish Lions. He played 63 Tests for Ireland including eleven as captain and toured with the Lions five times; a record that gave him 17 Lions Test caps. He also captained the most successful ever Lions side, which toured South Africa in 1974. 

Cameron Michael Henderson Gibson MBE (born 3 December 1942) is a former rugby union player who represented Ireland and the British and Irish Lions at international level. 

Roger Michael Young (born 29 June 1943) is a former Ireland and British Lions International rugby union player. He was capped twenty-six times as a scrum-half for Ireland between 1965 and 1971 and scored one try for Ireland against Scotland in 1965. 

Ronald Arthur Lamont MBE (born 18 November 1941) is a former Ireland international rugby union player. He was capped thirteen times for Ireland between 1965 and 1970, winning seven caps as a number eight and six as a flanker. He scored one try for Ireland.
