Showing the Ulster Tourist Trophy Race 1955 at Dunrod.  The RAC Trophy Race was held in Northern Ireland from the 1920s.

Notes

Samuel Bracegirdle was an amateur filmmaker from Belfast, his work dates from the 1950s to the 1970s. Many of his films show his home life and holidays with family and friends. He also took an interest in local history and Unionist heritage.

The RAC Tourist Trophy was first held in 1905, and it is the world's oldest continous motor race. It was held on the Isle of Man until 1922, it was held in Northern Ireland many times until 1955. It then was held on permanent racing tracks, rather than closed public roads, for safety reasons.
