Notes

Samuel Bracegirdle was an amateur filmmaker from Belfast, his work dates from the 1950s to the 1970s. Many of his films show his home life and holidays with family and friends. He also took an interest in local history and Unionist heritage.

The first Balmoral show was held in 1855 at the Belfast Corportation Markets by the North East Agricultural Association of Ireland. In 1894 the showgrounds at Balmoral were purchased, and the show began to be held there, giving it it's name.
