Description

A report for Good Evening Ulster from the steps of public offices in the village of Hillsborough. This footage is from the day of the signing of the Anglo-Irish Agreement between the governments of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, which took place at Hillsborough Castle.

The Ulster Unionist and DUP leaders, James Molyneaux and Ian Paisley, can be seen making their way through gathered supporters before Molyneaux gives a speech against the Agreement and Paisley reads out the text of the protest letter they have just handed into the government.
