Description

Footage of a Church of Ireland wedding in Drumbeg. The reasons for the shooting of this report speak very much of the times it was made in. It seems that the wedding was covered for no other reason than it was a mixed-race marriage. The surviving paperwork describes it as an “international wedding”. Furthermore, the names of the bride and groom are not deemed important enough to note and the only name mentioned is the establishment figure of the minister conducting the wedding, Rev Horace Uprichard, who is only glimpsed for two seconds.
