Description

In this episode of What Next, Tina Campbell and John Kearns explore the anxieties that are plaguing students the night before their GCSE results are released.

Featuring vox pops with students who've just finished their exams, followed by a profile of one of the audience members, Sarah McAlinden. Sarah wants to work in child care but has been dissuaded by her teachers and her parents, who want her to do A Levels instead of an NVQ.

Also profiled is Peter Bristow, he wishes to be a pilot and is aiming for all A's in his exams. Gabrielle Kelly, an Information Manager at the Training and Employment Agency, speaks to Campbell and Kearns about the need for students to have a contingency plan, in the event that things don't work quite how they'd hoped.
