Description

Gerry Kelly and guests advise school leavers about the dilemmas they may face as a university student.

Gabrielle Kelly, from the Training and Employment Agency, offers suggestions regarding the university clearing system and transferring courses. One caller asks whether he should pursue his passion (singing) or go to university. Next, we hear from audience members who have lived the student life, sharing their perspectives on the reality of that life and the challenges it can bring. Patrick Fitzsimmons explores the subject of student housing in Belfast.

The programme finishes on an uplifting note, with a mature student who advocates for life-long learning, stating that "it's never too late" to get an education.
