One of the gems found within the archive is a glimpse - from the 8th November 1963 - of the Beatles first ever visit to Belfast. Greeted by hordes of screaming girls, the famous foursome disembark at the airport to tumultuous fanfare before getting escorted into a car. The excitement proved too much for some, with police on hand to assist in escorting those who had fainted during the event out to waiting nurses.

Later that evening, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr went on stage to perform at the Ritz Cinema in Fisherwick Place, East Belfast. Their set list, was consistent throughout their Autumn tour and included 10 songs; I Saw Her Standing There, From Me To You, All My Loving, You Really Got A Hold On Me, Roll Over Beethoven, Boys, Till There Was You, She Loves You, Money (That’s What I Want) and Twist And Shout.
