This year celebrate International Women's Day with an evening of archive film and live performance in Pollen Studios. Join artists Jayne Cherry and Alice Clark to experience the Digital Film Archive from a new perspective. Set against footage of women at work in the local linen industry, these artists will undertake a performance re-evaluating the significance of linen and the ways it can be repurposed for today.
This performance is on March 8th 2018 at 7pm until 8:30pm
This event is free of charge and does not require booking, suitable for all ages.
Venue: Pollen Studios
1st Floor, 37-39 Queen Street, Belfast, BT1 6EA (The door beside Kelly's Eye Bingo Hall. This venue requires climbing a flight of stairs).
This special screening has been made possible with the generous support of Film Hub NI, part of BFI Film Audience Network. The screening will feature films from the Northern Ireland Screen Digital Film Archive digitised as part of the BFI's Unlocking Film Heritage and recently digitised footage from the UTV Archive.
