As Northern Ireland gears up for the start of the biggest event in the biking calendar, we look back half a century to the glory days of local road-racing in this North West 200 special from Super 8 Stories.

Using the footage of local filmmakers Stanley McIlreavy, Colin Sittlington and Fred Cooper, the film captures all the thrills and spills of local road racing at the annual North West 200 during the 1960s. Stanley and Colin reminisce about following the sport as spectators, whilst ex-rider Richard Creight provides the competitor's perspective on riding the famous circuit.
