Strength in Solidarity - Archive on Screen
Date: 07/03/2026 11:00
For this year’s International Women’s Day, Belfast Film Festival are partnering with Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive & Reclaim the Agenda to take a look back at the impact of protests in Belfast, exploring the power of women’s action to create change.
Archive will be screening at Writer’s Square as everyone sets out to join the International Women's Day Rally. The films will be raising awareness of issues around sexual violence, unfair pay and outdated social practices. Join us to see how outspoken women of yesteryear paved the way for us today.
The archive screening is part of Belfast Film Festival's Sparks 25 project focusing on underserved areas of the audience. The Sparks programming team have curated a series of events across October 2025 to March 2026. Sparks 25 has been made possible with the support of BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery.
Where to find us? Writers Square (Donegall Street, opposite St Anne's Cathedral) Belfast
What time? Drop in screening starts a 11am until the rally begains.
