Mr Alf Murray on his appointment to President of the GAA. He talks about the development of the GAA as an association and the sport itself. Ernest Strathdee asks about his plans for the future of the GAA. This includes the growth of the international scene and the GAA’s role in community relations. 

Alf Murray, from Lurgan, played for the Armagh Junior and Senior teams. After his playing retirement, he was involved in the administration of the GAA. He was secretary of the Armagh County Board and chairman of the Ulster Council, before serving as President of the GAA from 1964 to 1967. He was also a teacher and principal for 40 years.
