Description

The Minister of Commerce in the Northern Ireland government, Brian Faulkner, visits the Adria Knitting Mills factory in Strabane. Faulkner is given a tour of the factory floor and you can just about make out that they are involved in the production of nylon stockings. At the time the company was one of the largest producers of nylon stockings in the UK and was undertaking major expansion.
