Description

Controversy has been raging over the name of the new bridge over the Lagan in Belfast. Robin Walsh reports on the intervention of Governor Erskine against the Unionist-favoured naming of “Carson”. Alderman Brennan of Belfast Corporation is opposed to the eventual winning name, Queen Elizabeth II bridge. He would prefer to see it named the Lagan Bridge. Robin also talks to Sir Cecil McKee about the issue.
