Description

At the 75th anniversary of the Easter Rising, Counterpoint looks at Sinn Fein's position as a political force, asking if their connections to paramilitary activity hamper the economic regeneration of West Belfast. The conditions in Belfast are contrasted with John Hume's efforts in Derry which, although heroic, have proven in the long term to be less than successful in terms of providing stable employment for the region: unemployment in that area is currently the highest in Northern Ireland.
