Description

In Claire McCarron’s short film,  Man Walks into a Bar, a cash-strapped man finds himself in a moral dilemma when he enters the Gainsborough Arms in Derry, desperate for a pint but short on money. As he devises a series of schemes to cover the cost, the story teases the idea that fate - and perhaps a bit of luck - might intervene. With a blend of light-hearted tension and social commentary, this film explores the lengths we go to in pursuit of small pleasures, raising questions about fortune, resourcefulness, and what we’re willing to risk for a drink.
