Description

A show presented by John Kelly, compiled from footage taken from Channel 4 Schools

Off The Walls series. Young people from Northern Ireland were brought together to discuss issues of identity, ideology, and the question that was on everyone's mind in 1996 - is there a way to build a lasting peace? Filmed before the Canary Wharf bombing but broadcast after, although the programme was made two years before the signing of the Good Friday Agreement, many of the issues raised will be (sadly) familiar to anyone living in Northern Ireland today. As one participant says, we might do well to ask ourselves just what peace means to us.
