Description

Mr Collins of BP, talks to Robin Walsh about the launch of Sea Quest, the rig built at Harland & Wolff to find gas in the North Sea. Mr Collins is reservedly optimistic about finding gas in the area. This is a very good insight into the aims of the BP drilling mission.

Notes

The Sea Quest was a semi-submersible drilling rig. She discovered the UK's first North Sea oil on 14th September 1969 in the Arbroath Field. She also discovered the first giant oil field named Forties on 7th October 1970.
