Description

Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Northern Ireland for a two day visit in July 1966, primarily to officially open the new bridge named in her honour across the River Lagan in Belfast. However, she also carried out many other public functions and can be seen here on the second day attending the Assembling Rooms in Lisburn, meeting the crowds and being received by the mayor.
