Description

An interview with Billy Boyd, Trade Unionist. He has decided not to stand for election and to retire from politics. Boyd had been an MP in the Northern Ireland parliament and he was to run for parliament again in the future but without success. He remained a councillor until 1977.

Notes

Billy Boyd was a shipyard worker who became involved in the Nothern Ireland Labour Party. He was elected Belfast City Council in 1964 and remained a Councillor until 1977.
