Description

In this episode of Check it Out, Jacqui Berkeley and Eamonn Holmes explore a range of topics, including how to style your hair this holiday season, refugee aid for Croatia and pet transport.

In the studio, celebrity hairdresser Paul Stafford and three public volunteers discuss various hairstyles and ask, "What is the best hairstyle for ladies planning to let their hair down during the festive season?". The answer, a voluminous, short 1960s bob and a 1950s up-do, with 1990's glamour and big bouncing curls.

Next, and on a more somber topic, Andrea Catherwood has travelled to Croatia to see first hand the devastation that war has had on the country. She reports on the efforts of local milkmen, who asked people to leave out tins for donation, along with their empties. Robert Blair, one of the volunteer milkmen, describes how he has been taken aback by the generosity of the public, in donating and by leaving out boxes of food for collection.

John Kearns reports on a new emergency service to transport injured pets to the vets. He follows Stephen Martin and Roy Collin on the job and, along the way, meets some furry friends.

Lastly, Andrea is taking her advanced driving test, which she passes with flying colours, making her a "happy wee woman"!
