Description

Decoy ducks have swum smoothly from the realm of folk art into the fine art waters and are a popular collectable. If you’ve ever wondered how to make one, Stephen Atkinson is at hand to give advice. He looks at the materials and tools employed and explains a variety of techniques involved in woodworking.

Decoy duck making is a rapidly growing hobby and it is popular not only for its aesthetic qualities but also because it is suitable for those with limited facilities. Even though one can manage with only a small toolkit, it is essential to keep tools sharp when working with wood. For that reason, Stephen takes a moment to explain how to sharpen your equipment and keep it in a perfect shape.
