Description

Stephen Atkinson looks at three materials, wood glass and metal, and explores various techniques involved in engraving and sculpting. One can learn not only about which tools to use to create a perfect craftwork but also how to keep you kit in perfect shape. Throughout the programme, viewers are introduced to a range of tools and techniques and are offered some useful tips for craft making at home. Designed to stimulate your imagination and encourage your creativity, Make It Pay is a programme for all those who would like to make their hobby pay.

In the studio, Maxine Mawhinney interviews Mary Godfrey, a weaver, who is experienced in exhibiting her work in a variety of venues. Mary provides an insight into the world of exhibiting and advises on how to go about making the most of presenting your craftwork to audiences for the first time.
