Description

Clip from archive compilation programme 'Understanding Northern Ireland'.

Features crowds of women pushing police to get close to the Rolling Stones - who are on stage - and later, nurses looking after overwhelmed audience members.

Notes

This was the group's first appearance in Northern Ireland. Their performance was  stopped after 12 minutes due to overcrowding and what was described in the local press as crowd 'hysteria'.
