Description

In this adventure Barney and Jane head to a wildfowl sanctuary to learn about birds that like living on and beside lakes and ponds. They visit Castle Espie, a wetland reserve managed by the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust. It is set on the shores of the stunning Strangford Lough where a big part of the world's population of Brent Geese resides during the winter months.

Miss Mackie who runs Castle Espie with her husband shows some of the birds to Jane and Barney. More than 80 different kinds of wild birds can be found here which makes it a very popular bird watching spot.
