Description

Children's programme with Jane Cassidy and Barney the puppet.

In the previous episode of Swings and Roundabout, Jane and Barney told us a story of a young boy called Tommy from County Tyrone who sailed across the Atlantic with his family to start a new life in America. In this episode Jane and barney head to the Ulster American Folk Park to find out more about Tommy’s life across the ocean.

Jane tells us about Tommy’s family farming life, how their wooden cabin was built and how these pioneer farmers preserved their food.
