Description

A report by Lesley Dawes from the Grove swimming baths for Good Evening Ulster on the sport of synchronised swimming - still in its infancy in Northern Ireland at the time. Gillian Burns and Carloine McIntyre from Bangor are early advocates of the sport and, despite there being no clubs in the province, are hoping to stimulate interest. Coach Neil Grainger is interviewed about the ability of the girls and Gillian and Caroline speaks to the camera about their hopes for the sport in Northern Ireland. There is, of course, much footage of the girls' impressively co-ordinated routine.
