A walkout at the Ulster Transport Authority and a delegation visits Stormont in the aftermath of policy changes to the monopoly on public transport that the UTA held. 

In 1964 the Belfast Government announced a new policy for public transport in Northern Ireland, namely the abolition of the UTA’s statutory monopoly on all public transport, the introduction of licensing schemes for road freight and road passenger service operators with open competition between public and private undertakings, the reorganisation of the UTA and the establishment of a Transport Commission or Holding Company. This led to a number of strikes as depicted here.
