Description

This is a report on the efforts to encourage more inclusive language in job advertisements. There were many jobs that were traditionally associated with one sex. The Equal Opportunities Commission aimed to make this a thing of the past.

The interviewee details how things have improved from the 1970s. Today, newspapers often consult the Commission to ensure that the ads are using inclusive language. Advice is also offered to people who find ads that fail to be inclusive or that could fuel discrimination and prejudices in the job field.
