Description

Browse through the oh-so-fashionable goods on offer at the George Best boutique. Silken scarves, corded belts, trendy jackets and what’s this? A football icon turned tailor! This charming film captures Best in the first flush of superstardom. Already renowned for his footballing exploits on the pitch, here we see George Best the fashionista. Crowds of eager fans jostle outside his boutique, faces pressed against the window, all desperate to catch a glimpse of their hero.

After the boutique closed, the stock was bought by a Belfast drapery firm. Reselling the clothes was made a little harder by them all only being in George's size!

The match featured at the end of this game has been identified as the 1965 European Cup first round second leg Man Utd v ASK Vorwarts in December 1965. United won this game 3-1.
